The Preikestolen Trail Map Print is exactly what it sounds like: an A2 archival print of the Preikestolen route - distance, elevation profile, summit coordinates - typeset like an old surveyor’s plate, on heavyweight cotton-rag paper.
It’s the wall poster you put up because you walked the route, not because you saw a photo on Instagram.

What’s on it
- The trail itself: traced from the actual GPX, simplified for clarity
- An elevation profile along the bottom - the climb you remember
- Fact-block: distance (8 km return), elevation gain (334 m), summit altitude (604 m above the Lysefjord)
- Coordinates of the cliff: 58.9864° N, 6.1903° E
- Compass bearing to the rock from Preikestolhytta
- A clean black-on-cream layout with no extraneous decoration
Why a map and not a photo
There are a thousand photo prints of Preikestolen. There is no good map print.
A photo memorialises a moment you stood at. A map print memorialises a route you walked. The difference matters to the hiker who put 4 hours and 334 metres of elevation into being there. The cliff selfie shows where you ended up. The trail map shows what you did.
Production
Hahnemühle archival paper, 250 gsm, printed by Printful with pigment inks rated for 100+ year fade-resistance. Ships flat in a rigid mailer - never rolled - so it arrives ready to frame.
Sizes and framing
A2 only at launch. The sheet has a generous white margin so it works in any standard frame. We recommend a clean black or natural-oak frame - the print is intentionally restrained.
Other trails in this series
This is the first of a planned series. Trails on the way:
- Trolltunga - the long climb and the cliff coordinates
- Kjerag - the boulder location at 984 m
- Galdhøpiggen - the highest summit in Northern Europe, marked
- Kilimanjaro - six days from Lemosho gate to Uhuru Peak, by camp
We launch one per month once the Preikestolen sheet is verified at print.
